Microfluidic system with electrochemical and optical detection

The paper describes the construction of a polymer miniaturized system which allows carrying out urea and creatinine determination with using two various and independent methods: electrochemical as well as spectrophotometric. The application of dual determination of the bioanalyte makes obtained results more reliable. Additionally, it creates opportunities for monitoring urea and creatinine concentration during hemodialisis course.
