An estimator correlator receiver for frequency selective multipath fading channels

An estimator-correlator receiver structure using wideband signaling using PN sequences is developed for multipath frequency selective fading channels. Expressions for the error performance of the receiver for binary and M-ary FSK signaling schemes, for equal and unequal average SNR per path, are presented. Results of analytical performance evaluation of the receiver are presented and a comparison with a square law Rake correlator receiver is made.
