The invention discloses a minimized drive test method, network element and system. The method comprises the steps that a minimized drive test (MDT) measuring configuration parameter from a second network element is received by a first network element, wherein an MDT service type indication is carried in the MDT measuring configuration parameter, and MDT measuring results according with the MDT service type indication is reported to the second network element by the first network element. When the minimized drive test method, network element and system conducts MDT, relevant MDT measuring results to be acquired are indicated by carrying of the MDT service type indication, the MET measuring results can be accurately acquired and finer control over a minimized drive test is achieved.
