Spectrum analysis at the output of a nonlinear power amplifier with multicarrier signals

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the spectral regrowth at the output of a power amplifier due to the nonlinearities of this component. An analytical expression of the power spectral density of the signal at the power amplifier output, corresponding to the general case of a multicarrier input signal of winite duration, is derived. From this equation, we can easily find the close form of the power spectral density for monocarrier signals. Real measurements have been performed to validate the theoretical results.
