A Beam-slant Monopole Yagi-Uda Antenna with the Novel Fan-shaped Reflector

In order to improve the VSWR of the Yagi-Uda antenna operated at 7GHz-11GHz, a monopole Yagi-Uda antenna with a novel fan-shaped reflector is introduced to further solve low VSWR caused by the column reflector. The introduction of the fan-shaped reflector changes the radiation impedance and improves the impedance matching at feed. According to the simulated and tested results, the main beam-slant of about 30° and -10dB bandwidth of more than 3GHz are satisfied over the operated frequencies. Meanwhile, E plane pattern is greater than 5dB gain beamwidth of 45 degrees, and the beam width is greater than the gain of 5dB H map surface direction is 90 degrees.
