Robust Non-blind Detection for Spread Spectrum Watermarking System

In this paper, we present novel spread spectrum watermarking system employing reference watermarks to estimate the channel and attacks. In this system, the data is transmitted via embedded information watermarks and the degradation are characterized via embedded reference watermarks. Besides, we propose a novel watermark detection method based on the channel reliability estimation. The proposed method uses the first and the second order statistics of watermark channels and the threshold scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed detection method enhance the robustness of the system against various channel distortions and attacks in comparison to the existing detectors in the literature.
