PERFORMANCE OF NEW MESH SHEET FOR STIRLING ENGINE REGENERATOR

analysis of regenerator losses were reported at the 1 st IECEC. In this paper, a newly developed mesh sheet made of nickel is introduced and its experimental results are compared with previous three mesh sheets. From the results, it is clarified that the engine performance was improved about 2 % when equipped with the new mesh sheet. Also, the relation between the dimensions of the mesh sheet and the regenerator losses is clarified.
