Precise determination of starting time of epileptic seizures using subdural EEG and wavelet transforms

Biorthogonal wavelet transforms are applied to multichannel subdural electroencephalographic data to determine the time of epileptic seizure onset. A soft-thresholding technique is utilized to separate the ictal activity using a set of threshold values computed from manually selected training segments. The time points of seizure onset are detected by a new data integration procedure.
