The Distribution Characteristics of Ordered GSVD Singular Values and its Applications in MIMO-NOMA

Generalized singular value decomposition (GSVD) has been recently regarded as a competitive candidate among linear precoding schemes for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA) systems. In this letter, an expression of the distribution of ordered GSVD singular values is presented as a tool of the analysis for the GSVD-based MIMO-NOMA scheme. Facilitated by this probability density function (PDF) result, approximated results for the outage probabilities at high signal-noise ratio (SNR) are obtained for the insightful performance evaluation. Simulation results are developed to verify the analytical results and the superior performance of the GSVD-based MIMO-NOMA scheme.
