Uniform Dividing Wing Ejecting Smoke of Slot Film Seeding

This paper proposes a new method of seeding which can seed the smoke in state of slot film by the use of wing type ejector. The slot film cooling jet used modern gas turbine combustor is one of the applications of this method. Also, the results would be applied to control trailing edge vortex of an aircraft wing by the use of the segmented slot jets in place of actuated segmented Gurney flaps. First, the concept of the uniform dividing branch manifolds drilled at an interval to the main pipe is discussed. The pipe is used as the leading edge circle of the wing. Second, the dump diffuser type of configuration with pre-diffuser at uniform dividing branch manifold is also evaluated numerically compared with non-inner wing type. Finally, the uniform dividing wing in state of thin slot film is evaluated. The uniform velocity distribution is obtained if the pre-diffuser and the inner wing are installed. The extent of uniformity is 97 % of the slot length.
