An Improved M2M Platform for Multi-Sensors Agent Application

The environmental monitoring policies need to be supported by an efficient measurement system, able to give the necessary information in a strategic decision-making process. The large number of monitored quantities, together with the geographical position, makes the design of the monitoring system a critical task. Communication services play a fundamental role in this contest. The paper presents an interface platform, able to collect and process data from a wide variety of sensors and exchange information supporting different communication networks and protocols. The platform design follows the M2M approach and is especially oriented to support a sensorial agent devoted to low-frequency electric and magnetic fields measurements in an urban area
