Modeling design of alluminium alloy wheel based on finite element analysis method

Wheel is not only a key safty part bearing load, but also a crowning touch to the vechile image. In order to obtain a kind of alloy wheel which has the ability to bear required loads and can reflects the beauty of the vehicle, through the analysis of structure features, performance requirements and modeling objects of alluminium alloy wheel, finite element analysis method was introduced to traditional wheel design processes. A design method which integrated modeling and structure was provided, and the design case of a wheel was used as an example to prove the feasibility of this method. Also, this method can enhance product modeling innovation and improve design efficiency.
