Magnetoelastic longitudinal wave propagation in a transversely isotropic circular cylinder

The present paper investigates the longitudinal wave propagation in a perfectly conducting elastic circular cylinder in the presence of an axial initial magnetic field. The elastic cylinder is assumed to be made of a transversely isotropic material. The frequency equation is obtained and discussed. Numerical results are represented graphically in different cases depending on the given magnetic field. Finally, some of the earlier results are deduced as particular cases.
