A class of asymptotically efficient noniterative estimators of a common odds ratio

SUMMARY A new class of noniterative estimators of a common odds ratio is presented. It is shown that the principle of construction leads to asymptotically optimal estimators, that is estimators which are consistent, asymptotically normally distributed and asymptotically efficient.
