Emergency Attribute Significance Ranking Method Based on Information Gain

In emergency management, it is important to measure the significance of emergency attributes. This paper proposes a method for ranking the significance of attributes. Firstly, it builds the emergency decision table based on rough set theory. Secondly, it uses information gain to measure the objective significance of emergency attributes. Further, the information gain is combined with the prior knowledge of experts to rank the total significance of emergency attributes. This method could help decision-makers identify the significance of attributes, providing a support for the decision-makers to take emergency response measures.
