A novel design method for improving sleeve antenna performance

This paper presents a novel design method for improving bandwidth of sleeve antenna. The proposed design method incorporates dual-sleeve structure and end-loaded technology. Two novel sleeve antennas are designed with operation frequency 0.8GHz~2.7GHz and 3.1GHz~10.6GHz based on the proposed method. Simulation results show that the antennas have a 3.4:1 bandwidth with 10-dB return loss and an omnidirectional pattern in the H plane. The peak gain is more than 2dBi over the almost operation frequency.
