Listing Data Files

You will want to list data files either for your use or for presentation to others. The first lists will be for your editing, so that you can verify that the files prepared with the programs in Chapter 1 are complete and accurate. Once the files are correct, you will want lists for records. Scanning the lists will detect patterns in the data that are obvious from visual inspection. Generally, your lists will include all of the identification and chemical variables.
