Discourse modes: aspectual entities and tense interpretation

Cet article presente le concept de 'Mode du Discours', un niveau de structure locale dans lequel les formes linguistiques presentent une importance particuliere. Il y a 5 modes: Narratif, Descriptif, Rapport, Informatif, Commentaire. Les modes ont des proprietes linguistiques qui les distinguent. Chaque mode introduit une classe d'entite aspectuelle (eventualite, statif generalisant, entite abstraite); et a chaque mode correspond un type particulier de progression semantique. Enfin, il apparait que l'interpretation du temps est dependante du Mode. Trois principes expliquent la contribution du temps dans le discours.
