The nonlinear research and simulation of active-passive heave compensation system based on parallel cylinders

When conducting dipping jobs at the platform,the heave compensation equipment is needed for aiding. In this paper,an active-passive heave compensation system based on parallel cylinders is designed and the working principles are described. For getting accurate mathematical model,the kinematics and dynamics analysis is conducted,during which the nonlinear factors have been fully considered. On the basis of these,the nonlinear simulation model is build up by Simulink. And the simulation result indicates that,the heave compensation system has good performance on the heave motion of waves and the heave compensation system based on parallel hydraulic cylinders has a good effect on the dipping jobs.
