"Snake" flexible arm.

The stainless steel snake flexible arm which can be fixed by screws designed originally for aortic valve replacement in a larger version can be used in laparoscopy. It permits viewing by assistants students and visitors without interfering with the surgeon. It is especially valuable for two-handed laparoscopic sterilization where the Fallopian tubes are severed close to the uterine cornus without damaging the blood supply. Sterilization completed by diathermy coagulation preserves the Fallopian tube and blood supply intact to make the sterilization process technically reversible.
