Towards an ITS for Improving Social Problem Solving Skills of ADHD Children

The major problem of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is the lack of social skill and personal relationships, which leads to peer rejection and society isolation. As the result, they often develop depression and other mental disorders. Effective educational software for ADHD children is of great societal importance as evidenced by the high proportion of this disability in the population (8% to 10% [5]). The main aim of this research is to develop an ITS for ADHD children to teach them social problem-solving skills. The proposed system will enable children to solve everyday problems, which leads to a better life in which there is no peer rejection as well as a strong foundation for their adulthood.
