A New Switching Technique for Low Power Mixer with Body Terminal

This paper describes the new switching technique for the better performance mixer by utilizing the body terminal. The same phase LO signal is delivered to both the gate and body terminal simultaneously, leading to a closer ideal switching operation. The theoretical study of this operation is presented. Thanks to the body effect, the final circuit provides a conversion gain of 18 dB with 0 dBm LO power and reaches -15.2 dBm P1dB while the architecture draws only 0.5 mW from a 1.8 V supply
