PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS DESKRIPSI MENGGUNAKAN QUANTUM WRITING

Abstract: The purpose of this research was (1) to improves skill of description text by using Quantum Writing and (2) to describe the implementation of Quantum Writing in increasing skill of writing description text on the fourth grade students of State Primary School of Banaran 04 Grogol, Sukoharjo in the academic year 2015/2016. The type of the research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Every cycle through the stage of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this research were 30 students on the fourth grade of State Primary School of Banaran 04 Grogol, Sukoharjo, which consisted of 18 male students and 12 female students. The data collecting techniques were observation result, interview, document, and test. The data validity techniques were triangulation of resource and triangulation of techniques. The data analysis technique was interactive analysis data. The result of the research showed that in precycle the average score of writing description text skill  was 61,9 with the class completeness was 30%. In the first cycle, the class average score was 70,1 with the class completeness was 63,33%. In the second cycle, the class average score was 75,83 with the class completeness was 83,33%. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that of using Quantum Writing can increase skill of writing description text on the fourth grade students of Primary School of Banaran 04 Grogol, Sukoharjo in the academic year 2015/2016. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yakni (1) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi menggunakan Quantum Writing dan (2) mendeskripsikan implementasi Quantum Writing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Banaran 04 Grogol, Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Setiap siklus melalui kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Banaran 04 Grogol, Sukoharjo yang berjumlah 30 siswa, yang terdiri dari 18 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes. Validitas data yang digunakan yakni triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada prasiklus nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa sebesar 61,9 dengan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 30%. Pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 70,1 dengan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 63,33%. Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 75,83  dengan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 83,33%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan Quantum Writing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Banaran 04 Kecamatan Grogol Kabupaten Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016.
