An estimate method on the partial costs of engine remanufacturing

Different from manufacturing, remanufacturing has more variable factors, these results in the lack of fixed rules for remanufacturing costs and control methods. In such a complex situation the central task is to minimise costs whilst meeting the market requirements. Consideration is given to the Chinese engine remanufacturing, some costs are discussed in this paper. These include outlays for recovery, disassembly, cleaning, inventory management, remanufacturing machining etc. The assumption for the analysis is that the recovery way is based on the 3rd logistics, the cleaning rate is independent of the disassembly rate, the remanufactured inventory control method is based on Economic Production Lot (EPL) and the other inventories are pull by which. If the Quantity Remanufacturing Rate (QRR) of recovery engines remains a constant, the remanufacturing costs can be relatively easily estimated. But the reality is that the QRR is not changeless with time because of the various breakage states of recovery cores, so the remanufacturing costs change with irregular rules. The primary assignment of this article is to analyze and estimate the costs based on certain assumptions.
