Supported coherent shared memory

Here, a coherent shared memory apparatus is described over several clusters. The apparatus has a memory controller and one or more network nodes. The memory controller controls access to a shared memory region of each network node such that each shared memory region can be retrieved with load / memory semantics, also in response to a failure of the network node. The apparatus also includes a global memory in which each shared memory region is recorded by the memory controller in global memory.
