Another look at cue summation

Until 1964, there seemed to be general agreement that more information was acquired when a presentation was made through more than one channel than one channel alone. It was generally held that almost all studies showed a combination of channels to be more effective than one channel alone (io, p. 1,0o82; 14, Ch. 28).
