Video correlator using thin-film hall multipliers

A correlator which can be used for measuring the autocorrelation and crosscorrelation functions of realtime television signals is described. This device uses thin-film indium-antimonide Hall plates, and it is shown that use of thin films makes it possible to multiply two inputs, both of which extend over the video band. Correlograms for high-frequency sine waves and for a number of television-picture sources are displayed, and the latter are shown to confirm the prediction of simple statistical models.
