Wideband single — polarised finite array of vivaldi antenna

This paper describes a finite difference time domain analysis to design a broadband Array in 12–18 GHZ frequncy band with beamwidth of 30 degree and minimum SLL of −13 dB. The effect of diffraction due to finite ground planes, variation in phase velocity, frequency-dependent impedence, interaction between elements and detailed field structures is taken into account. The current distribution, coupling between elements, radiation pattern are calculated. The computed radiation pattern results of the vivaldi antenna array agree very well with experimental results.
