Program counter of microcontroller and control method thereof

A program counter of a micro-controller and a method of controlling the same are provided to reduce power consumption by operating a program immediately without operating an initializing process with a program counter value from the outside. A program counter of a micro-controller(10) comprises an external program counter(40), and a program counter generator. The external program counter stores and provides a command code to be operated when resuming the micro-controller. The program counter generator receives and outputs a program counter value input by the external program counter, or outputs a command code address to be operated in the micro-controller.
