Total precipitable water over the Arabian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal using SSM/I data

Using Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) data, the total precipitable water (TPW) over the Arabian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal has been estimated. The monthly and seasonal variations of TPW show a very systematic pattern that correlates closely with the monsoon.
