Right-turn Fuzzy Control for Single Intersection

This paper analyzes the phnomenon of unnecessary delay of right turn vehicles which are still waiting when there are sparse vehicles in the shift to direction and gives a fuzzy control method based on the manned decision process. The fuzzy controller designed uses the length of the queues on the lanes as input, which determines the time in advance in the next phase. Computer simulations show that this method can decrease the unnecessary delay of right turn vehicles effectively.
