Impedance simulator for automatic calibration of LCR-meters

The working principle and the design of a new impedance simulator is presented. In this design, both the current and the voltage measured by the LCR-meter will be independently modified to simulate a wide range of impedances. Preliminary results obtained at 1 kHz with a first prototype clearly show the potential utility of such an impedance simulator.
