A microstrip‐fed printed crossed dipole for wireless applications

A crossed-dipole antenna with good directivity and good isolation between ports over a wide impedance bandwidth is presented. This antenna offers polarization diversity and employs an optimized shape for the dipole wing, which yields the wide bandwidth. A quarter-wave balun is used for matching and improved isolation. Patterns are also presented. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 48: 751–753, 2006; Published online in Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com). DOI 10.1002/mop.21464
