Modeling of supply chain: a multi-agent approach

This paper describes an ongoing effort in developing a Multi-agent System (MAS) for supply chain management for assisting in decision- making. We experimentally evaluate various scheduling algorithms used by suppliers to schedule the orders allocated to them. Our aim is to investigate how well suppliers can make decisions to create a schedule that is flexible in accommodating unforeseen events. We also investigate the effects of a price adjustment scheme to adjust bids when a supplier agent perceives reduced competition from other suppliers.
