Knowledge Transfer in the Context of Information Systems Integration: A Systematic Literature Review

Information technology has been extensively used in many organizations. Human development via Knowledge Transfer (KT) is one of principal approaches for sustainable success in business. However, existing KT still remains ineffectiveness. To find its gap, this paper thus performed a systematic literature review in January 2014. The result from delving into six digital libraries reveals that there are three dimensions related to KT specifically in the information systems integration context. The first dimension contains four KT components which are content, people, method, and technology. The second dimension contains five KT influential factors which are knowledge, sources, information technology, recognition process, and situation. These factors can be both assistance and obstacles in different contexts. The last dimension contains a KT process that helps deliver knowledge from sender to receiver by proper methods or technologies. During transferring knowledge, the elements in these three dimensions can occur at the same or different times and more than once. In other words, they interact with others as multi-directional.
