Electrocardiogram Pre-Processing, For The Removal Of High Frequency And Power Line Frequency Noise

Absiract: Digital filtering can realise characteristics impossible to achieve using analog Jsltenng. This paper presents some implementation of digital Jlters for preprocessing of i'he electrocardiogram @CG) signal. The Jslters are implemented for an acquisition ystem that over-samples the input sQnals, using high-speed analog/digital converters. We implement on& integer Jlters, that show linear pnase characteristics. We implemented some low-pass filters, two 50 Hz notchJlters and Q high-pas>;$lter, for processing the ECG.. On testing the filters, signril distortion was observed to be minimal.
