Estimation of environmental factors for the log normal distribution

Abstract Two definitions of environmental factors for the log normal distribution are proposed in this paper. According to the two definitions point estimates, upper and lower confidence limits of environmental factors are derived by classical and Bayesian methods, whose performances are discussed. Practical examples show that the derived formulae are satisfactory.
