'Change-glasses' approach in pattern recognition

Abstract An idea is presented for on-line change of the recognition rule in dependence on the reliability of the classification decision, aiming at better accuracy. A medical illustration is given where the rule switches from classical k -NN to a two-level fuzzy classifier.
