Lz-TRANSFORM APPLICATION TO AVAILABILITY ASSESMENT OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH RENTAL EQUIPMENT WORKING UNDER SEASONAL WEATHER CONDITIONS

In this paper we present the model for estimation availability of multi-state air-conditioning system for hotels, apartments or offices that have a specific regime of temperature/humidity conditions, with reserve, provided by rented equipment, ordered and supplied by external firm. The weather conditions are described as two level seasonal stochastic demand, typical for air conditioning systems.
The suggested approach is based on Lz-transform method for computation of availability for multi-state system. The model takes into consideration the important factors such as cooling generator output, failure and repair rate, time of supply of rented generator.
Corresponding computational procedures are suggested. Numerical example is presented to illustrate the described approach.
