Modal and buckling analysis for the tower of large wind turbine

Taking the large wind turbine as engineering background,the model of the tower was established and the modal analysis was carried out by ANSYS software.The dynamic characteristic of the tower,which can offer basis for the safty service and subsequent dynamic analysis of the wind turbine,was determined.By making use of the strict and mature Deutsche Norm DIN18800,the buckling of the thin-walled and high-rise tower was analyzed.During the analysis process,the initial defects of the structure was considered.The results show that the tower does not satisfiy the requirements of DIN18800 Norm,and the original tower design should be further modified and improved.
