Abstract The assessment of species in the environmental field and living system is one of the basic goals in modern chemical analysis/bioanalysis, which can lead toward achieving safe, effective treatment for subsequent implementation in the clinic. Nanosensor is a powerful tool for measuring chemical and physical species in the biomedical field. In this chapter, we provide definitions, classifications, evolutions, and applications of nanosensor technologies and highlight how to use them in regenerative medicine. We discuss this topic with four classifications, including optical nanosensors, electrochemical nanosensors, magnetic nanosensors, and other nanosensors, and conclude that the future discovery and application of nanoscale sensing devices will continue to evolve, which will greatly improve the quality of everyday life and may benefit from various fields, especially in biomedical applications and human health.
