The refrigerant injection technique has been suggested for improving system performance and compressor stability. This paper presents the development of a simulation model of an injection scroll compressor that can be used for optimization of a heat pump system for electric vehicles. The simulation model solved mass and energy conservation equations using the 4th Runge-Kutta scheme to predict the pressure and temperature variations according to scroll revolution. The refrigerant mass flow rate, compressor discharge temperature, and compressor power input were calculated. The simulation results showed geometry and performance characteristics of the scroll compressor with the injection position. The maximum integrated total area of injection hole was observed near 520o. The heating capacity was also peaked at about 520o for ?20oC outdoor temperature.
