Contribution to Simulation and Control Procedures of Brushless DC-Machines

Abstract The brushless d.c. motor is used in industrial equipment because of its advantages of long life, ability to eliminate brush-wear particles and arcing and high performance characteristic. In order to investigate the feasibility of some control circuits it is useful to simulate the brushless d.c. motor and its electronic commutator by means of an analog computer. In the first part of the paper the simulation aspects will be discussed. The second part of the paper deals with some control procedures because the future will require systems of high precision and reliability.
