In reverse engineering, in order to acquire surface data of sample part, multiple scanning of measuring process is usually required to adapt to the configuration of the part. This paper introduces a data set sign method based on three datum-points which are measured repeatedly in different coordinate systems to formulate the transform matrix for data mapping.
