NOEL: A NON LINEAR FINITE ELEMENT CODE FOR ROAD PAVEMENT ANALYSIS

The purpose of this paper is first to present the non-linear finite element code NOEL for road pavement analysis, and then to compare different generalizations of the Boyce's model for unbound granular materials. It is necessary to introduce the failure criterion of the granular material, in order to obtain a realistic behaviour, the simplified elastoplastic model being the most suitable.
