Research on Mold Cooperative Design and Manufacturing Based on Grid Technology

The processes and characteristics of mold design and manufacturing were analyzed,the theory of mold cooperative design and manufacturing based on grid technology was studied.A compositive infrastructure of distributing resources,grid middleware and application layer was put forward.A new mode and its implemention of mold design and manufacturing were discussed.An example shows that the new mode will play an important role on increasing efficiency of computation and design and manufacturing facilities,and quickening process of mold development.
