66.2: Invited Paper: New IPS Technology Suitable for LCD-TVs

New cell structure and driving method technologies have improved the contrast ratio over 900:1 and the moving picture response time of less than 10 ms for 32 inch TFT-LCDs. The ratio was improved by increasing the transmittance through a pixel area. The quality with less blurring was realized using a high frequency frame rate driving at a 120 Hz or impulsive driving.
