Estimation system of infrared clutter background based on DSP & FPGA

The detection problem of point targets in IR images is a hot spot nowadays.In order to detect the weak targets from clutter background,the background suppression of IR image is necessary.This paper gives a linear and nonlinear combined filtering algorithm according to the infrared image's statistical features.And a background estimation system is designed based on DSP and FPGA from the view of practical engineering.The results show that the system performs well in background estimation.
