A Methodology for Household Appliances Behaviour Recognition in AmI Systems

The actual research in green computing tries to understand the human behavior and how appliances are used in households. We propose, in this paper, a software prototype which can be used to understand the household appliances’ behavior. Our architecture uses heuristic functions and pattern matching mechanisms in order to achieve this goal. Keywords-curent-cost sensor data-stream, appliance recognition,behavior recognition, heuristics.
