Electron microscopy of the bone marrow in the chronic erythraemic myelosis.

In a case of chronic erythraemic myelosis, the ultrastructure of the bone marrow was studied. In the erythroblasts was found characteristic disposition of the iron, often observed inside some mitochondria as well as in the cytoplasm. The finding, which up to the present time, has only been reported in the acute form of the Di Guglielmo syndrome, might suggest that there are no morphological demarcations between the two clinical forms of the syndrome.
